Recently, we took a little day ride over to Forest Knoll in Marin County to pay a visit to Hatt’s Motorcycles. It is always a good time to hang out with Bret Hatt and see what new projects he has cooking, but the main reason for us to go there was to do a photo shoot on this beautiful 1957 Pan Head that Bret customized for Steve Sanders as a tribute build to his wife Christine who had recently passed away from cancer. We ran into Steve in January at the Easyriders Bike Show in Sacramento and where he told us about the inspiration behind this bike. So we were really hoping that we would get the opportunity to share the craftsmanship and the meaning behind it with all of you. At the time of the shoot, Steve was in the middle of a ride around the country. We are sure that it was a much needed therapeutic adventure that will bring Steve some peace after such a huge loss. This special motorcycle will live on as a thoughtful tribute to his wife Christine in remembrance of the memories made and of the lifetime shared together as husband and wife.
